The seminar has been curated to address four important topics which impact the façade design and engineering of today and tomorrow’s building habitats. We call them the Four Pillars of World Of Technal :

After completing five successful editions reaching over 1400+ delegate attendance in Bahrain, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh and Cairo, we now bring the event back to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the theme of Sustainability & Building Envelopes.
The Seminar will feature the attendance of the top developers, architects, consultants, main contractors, metal builders and other important stakeholders of the Saudi Arabia Construction Fraternity. He is the Area Sales Manager for Egypt, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates at Hydro Building Systems Middle East (brands TECHNAL®, SAPA® and WICONA®). He is an architectural engineer graduated from Cairo Academy, and studied Facade Engineering in Bath University in UK, CWCT certified, Autodesk BIM certified, a member of the Egyptian and Saudi Engineers Syndicates and an ardent aluminium lover and sustainability advocate. His current role involves in working with the finest minds in the field of architectural aluminium in the Greater Middle East Markets, Europe, and Africa. One of his key tasks involves extending partnerships with building designers, architects, consultants, developers, and contractors. The discussions usually can range from designing an attractive sliding folding door for a luxury chalet to building up a bespoke aluminium facade for the vertical cities of the future. Because he is associated with TECHNAL, a part of Hydro Building Systems and one of the world’s leading aluminium system manufacturers, his interactions further extend to students in the architecture schools and the wider construction academia. This keeps him extremely in tune with upcoming design trends and of course the learning never stops.
Henri Gomez started his business life in 1987 at KAWNEER (Alcoa group). He joined the Hydro Group in 1996 as Managing Director of France and Benelux. Since then, he held different positions such as VP South East Europe and VP D/A/CH and East Europe.
Henri Gomez leads the Building Systems business unit since 2018 as a Senior Vice President.
He is the Managing Director of Hydro Building Systems Middle East, India, and South-East Asia. Managing a team of over 130 executives, he is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, and effective promotion of widespread distribution of key Hydro Building Systems brands WICONA®, TECHNAL® and SAPA®. He has over thirty years of construction industry experience ranging from building contracting, aluminium fabrication, and architectural aluminium systems. Sam was previously leading the operations at a leading contracting company for a tenure of four years and subsequently joined Alico Aluminium where he took on several responsibilities and functions for eight years as the head of logistics and supply chain for eight years. Sam has competed nineteen years in Hydro Building Systems Middle East, where he has taken several leadership roles from heading the supply chain, logistics, and sales and now overseeing the entire operations for Bahrain, UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and Australia.
Profile
Fabian Hecker joined ZHA in 2002 and has since worked on projects including offices, hospitality, cultural buildings, retail interiors, mixed-use developments, and urban masterplans predominantly in Europe and the Middle East.
Education
He received his diploma in architecture from the Technical University Aachen in Germany in 1999 and completed his MA in Landscape Urbanism at the Architectural Association in London in 2001.
Projects
When he first joined ZHA, Fabian was a member of the team behind the 26,000m2 BMW Central Building in Leipzig, Germany. Consequently, he took leading roles in the delivery of high-profile projects such as the Bridge Pavilion in Zaragoza, Spain and the Zorrotzaurre urban masterplan for Bilbao, Spain.
He was Project Associate in charge of the Serpentine Sackler Gallery and Magazine Restaurant in London, which was completed in 2013, and has been a design leader on the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center, a research facility for Saudi Arabia’s newly founded institute for energy research, which includes research spaces, a library, conference centre, offices, and data centre. Fabian was a Project Associate on the Opus project in Dubai, a mixed use tower containing a hotel, offices, and serviced apartments where he was leading the design team and providing site supervision.
Currently, he is overseeing the design of Lusail Hotel tower, a 70,000m2, 5*-hotel with serviced apartments, located at the centre of the new Lusail Marina district near Doha, Qatar; the Saudi National Built Heritage Center, a 8,000m2 cultural building in Diriyah, KSA; and the interior refurbishment of a central section of a large airport in Germany.

As the Commercial Manager of AES and ALEC Energy, Babette combines her knowledge of the quantity surveying and commercial realms to identify and develop better business opportunities for improved growth. This includes maintaining client relationships, analysing current strategies, and developing improved action plans as well as discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the companies can invest in growth and people.
Babette’s focused leadership style helps people understand the direction and outcome all seek to accomplish collaboratively.
Graham is an experienced Façade and Operations Manager within the construction industry, with vast experience spanning over 20 years, 12 of which have been in the UAE. His previous experience has involved many diverse roles from design management, consulting, and senior level management positions.
Graham is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the companies and the overall decision making. He ensures that the businesses functions without operational bottlenecks and is a vital part of the team.

Jean-Marc is Sustainability Director for Hydro Extrusions, having joined as Energy Solutions Manager in 2008. Prior to his current positions, he has held a number of different roles within the organization.
Originally from Grand Duchy of Luxemburg, he holds an MSC in Construction engineering, and an MBA from Louvain School of Management.
He started his career in 1995 as a project engineer designing civil works in the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg, then moved to building skins solutions and specialised in building physics, sustainable products, active and passive solutions related to solar and renewable energies. After some years as Sales and Marketing Director for the Hydro Building Systems business unit he returned to his beloved field of expertise, and where his passion lies: Sustainability, and levers it since 2017 for Hydro Extrusions.
Hydro Extrusions is a 22500 employees business area within Norsk Hydro, and comprises of Extrusion Europe, Extrusion North America, Precision Tubing and Building System business units.
With 17 years of experience in Aluminum Extrusion Industry and with Aluminum systems, Youssef joined AGC Obeikan Glass in 2018 and since then is contributing to glazing the facades across blooming Saudi Arabia’s construction sector. Dr. Ali Shash is a Professor in the Construction Engineering and Management Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He is also the General Manager of the Green Court Company for Trades and Contracting (GCC).
He was the Chairman of several academic departments, the Manager of the Research and Innovation Office, the Director for the Center for Engineering Research, the Director of the Construction Industry Institute at KFUPM, the Consultant for Prince Sultan Science and Technology Center, the Chairman of the Technical Committee for code administration, an Honorary Senior Research Fellow (University of Birmingham), and Vice President for Projects in a major construction company. His research interests include topics in Project Management, cost estimation, material management, productivity, project performance improvement.
30 + years façade project management experience gained mainly on mega projects in London, Middle East and Hong Kong employed in a variety of facade management roles by international consultants, main contractors and specialist façade sub-contractors.

Lars Anders is the CEO of Priedemann Facade Experts and Facade-Lab Research &
Development Center, which accomplishes tasks relating to the facade or building
envelope. In this role, Lars manages and leads along with his managing partners, a
team providing all services in facade planning, consulting and engineering as well as
other project-related assignments like product research and functional development.
He is a seasoned engineer and holds a degree in Civil Engineering (University of
Applied Sciences, Berlin 1985). Lars loves and lives “facades” and learned the craft
from the bottom up in his parents’ facade construction company.
In 2002 he joined Priedemann, where he has since then developed and positioned the
company internationally.
Inspired by building skins and their limitless possibilities, Priedemann provides
interdisciplinary services to investors, developers, architects, consultants, main
contractors and fabricators, which have enabled them to achieve higher levels of
efficiency, quality and cost certainty in the development and execution of their facade
projects.
